Our Mission: To create inspirational British jewellery that embodies sophistication and artistry. We uphold the finest traditions of British craftsmanship, working only with exceptional materials to design and handcraft pieces as unique and exquisite as the individuals who wear them.

OUR STORY

Justin Richardson’s journey began during his student years, when he was honoured with the prestigious Craftsmanship and Design Award from the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths in the City of London.

Founded in 2004, Justin Richardson Jewellery was established as a celebration of artistry and a testament to the finest traditions of English craftsmanship in jewellery design.

Our Sun Street Gallery stands as a dedicated space to showcase the exceptional creativity and skill of our team.

Helen

Driven by her passion for jewellery, Helen began her journey with a year-long pre-apprenticeship course at The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, where she gained hands-on experience across all areas of the trade before specialising in diamond mounting.

After completing her four-year apprenticeship with Justin, she created a remarkable silver Octavo pocket watch as her masterpiece — a piece personally presented to and approved by the Prime Warden of The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths. This exceptional watch is now on display and available for purchase in our shop.

Having discovered a true love for jewellery design, Helen now leads as the shop’s head designer, continuing to find joy in collaborating with clients and bringing their unique visions to life.

Liz

Liz joined the team in 2022 and thrives on the variety of projects undertaken at Justin’s.

Entering the trade at just 18, after studying at the British Academy of Jewellery in London, she is dedicated to continually developing her skills and perfecting the art of goldsmithing.

Passionate and detail-oriented, Liz has a particular appreciation for jewellery that is distinctive, unusual, and full of character.

Jo

With over half of her retail career devoted to fine jewellery, Joanne has had the privilege of working in some of London and the Southeast’s most prestigious shopping destinations — including Royal Tunbridge Wells, Burlington Arcade, Piccadilly, and Hatton Garden.

Having achieved her FGA and DGA gemmology diplomas, as well as passing her CAT appraisal exam in the same year, Jo is now working toward becoming a registered valuer.

Deeply fascinated by the science of gemmology and crystal structures, she finds great joy and challenge in identifying gemstones in the field — relying on a few refined tools, a sharp eye, and her extensive knowledge.

Nutmeg

Nutmeg has been the heart of our wellbeing team since September 2020. Alongside her role in promoting empathy and wellbeing in the workshop, she offers a patient and sympathetic ear for design and manufacturing queries.

Her specialities include sleeping, “filing” important papers in her own way, and offering the occasional unsolicited tip on security. While she has yet to master any formal design or craftsmanship skills, her presence is invaluable to the team.
