The Sun Street gallery opened in 2004 to highlight the work of designer craftsman, Justin Richardson and other guest designers.
Justin and his team create beautiful items of stock which they display in the gallery as well as being renowned for their bespoke commission service.
Each member of the team at Justin Richardson’s brings their own unique brand of technical skill, enthusiasm, passion and knowledge to make the commissioning of a bespoke piece of jewellery a truly pleasurable experience.

Our Team
Justin RichardsonSince he was a student, Justin has been winning Craftsmanship and Design awards at one of the oldest and most prestigious livery companies in the City of London – The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths. Justin Richardson studied silversmithing at Kent Institute of Art and Design, and has worked with several highly acclaimed silversmiths and jewellers. He became a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths in 2001 and has won many prizes for his work.

Andy BirdAndy joined the team having gained a 1st Class Honours Degree in silversmithing and Jewellery at UCA Rochester. Andy worked for a time in a silversmithing workshop in London and is now concentrating on his passion for jewellery. At The Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council Award Ceremony in March 2014 Andy was awarded with a prestitgious Silver Award in the Senior Chasers category for his hand crafted hammered silver bangle.

Helen StrideHelen is the newest recruit and joined the team in 2015 as an apprentice goldsmith. Having completed a Foundation year with Distinction at The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths Centre she was selected to join Justin Richardson as his apprentice. She is now in the final year of the five year term of learning, and is now working on her masterpiece for the Prime warden of the Goldsmiths company to approve.

Adam MclarenAdam joined the team in 2012 while studying at UCA Rochester and completed his final year graduating with a 1st Class Honours Degree in 2013. Adam specialises in 3D CAD technology, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge regarding modern techniques. At The Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council Award Ceremony in March 2014 he was presented with an impressive Gold Award for the Design of Fashion Jewellery with a commercial viability.
